Are the immigrants responsible for unemployement

Today, they are about 2,5 millions of unemployed in France. Nevertheless, this rate decreases a bit every year, since 1998. But does the unemployment rate would be lower if there were less immigrants in France?
·Immigrants are not unemployed
The immigrants represent 31,4% of the unemployed population. So, in 1998, there were 11,8% who was unemployed. Consequently, the immigrated population doesn't represent an important part of unemployed.
·Immigrants are French
We don't to forget that a good part of immigrants feel and are French. Today they may have a French way of life. Why do we send them to their country of origin ? They are adapted to the French culture.
·Immigrants are workers
Imagine that we sent 2,5 millions immigrants back home, we would loose an important part of skilled workers. It would have dramatic consequences. The firms would not be able to replace those millions of worker quickly enough ; the companies would go bankrupt. Finally, the unemployment rate would sharply increase.
·Immigrants are consumers
Sending back home all the immigrated population could not be a solution to eradicate unemployment in France. We have to be logical and to notice that immigrants consume as much as French people do. If they moved abroad, they would not consume in France. The French economy would loose millions of &consumers. The production would drop because of a less important demand. In the end, sending back home 2,5 millions people would make our economy regress.
ŸMigrations flow are not close to unemployment
The closest countries to immigration are not necessarily the most prosperous. While the ones which open their frontiers are not more condemn to be jobless . The United Kingdom, where the immigration doesn't stop increasing (150 000 in 1995), own an unemployment rate very low (-5.7%).
Nowadays, trying to send back home 5% of French inhabitants is impossible. It could not be a good solution to resolve the problem of unemployed in France because immigrants are not responsible of unemployment.
