racism in politics

It’s your turn to explain what gets on your nerves. Today, the subject is the migrations in Europe and all what they breed.

I’m scared by how many people can vote for men like Mr Le Pen*. How can someone hate as much his brothers because of their coloured skin? I think that even if you don’t like immigrants for any reason, you have to respect them.

Nevertheless, for me, TV brings pressure on ourselves about racism. People can’t think whatever they want because when we see a thief or a murderer, either he’s black or he’s a Muslim.

Because of the media, many people think that Blacks and Muslims don’t go to school,  begin stealing all what they’re able to at the age of eight, live in old blocks of flats where they write on the walls, smoke drugs or drink alcohol… How can they believe TV? How can they not laugh at all these programs? Don’t be ridiculous, everybody knows that it’s true, we’ve got problems in France with the suburbs but not all the young immigrants burn cars or sell drugs!!!

We should say stop to all those unrealities. While people and associations like SOS Racisme, are trying to help immigrants to have rights, two millions of people are watching a film in which a Muslim is arrested because of a theft or a murder. It’s normal, you will tell me. I don’t think so! Stupid me- that’s just because of one thing: MONEY. Everybody will watch this kind of program and the channel will make lots of profits. But there’s one thing we forget to say: people still believe that all the immigrants are dishonest.

Writing this, I tried to show you that TV makes us believe what it wants. The world should become as equal as possible. We are in 2002, I can’t understand that there are still racist people. So, we can watch TV- of course- but we must understand that there isn’t a colour which makes you become a robber or a killer.

*We have to tell you that when we received this letter, the terrible politic accident didn’t happen.
