An immigrant from Moldavia

 

 

Last week, as I was watching the news on TV, I could have screamed when yet again I saw a terrifying report about an immigrant. And still now, I can't believe that can happen…

This immigrant, came from Moldavia. She had travelled with her parents, but they have decided to stay in Italy whereas she wanted to discover France, thinking that it was easier to find a job. She had moved from her country of origin where she had to sew bags to escape the poverty. But she couldn't know what was going to happen then…

A "friend" of her mother called her in France to know if she wanted to work. Of course she wanted ! She was there for this reason ! She was very inquisitive to know which sort of job it was so she met him. But he was not at all a gentleman. He threatened her with a gun and he said : " Your job is to sleep with customers and to satisfy them ." She became a prostitute. How welcomed is France !
When, at last, she decided to speak to the police, a lot of years after, her misfortunes stopped. But she was very depressed with no money at all … Fortunately, she was hire as a waitress in a small bar. Despite the fact that it's not very well paid, she can live how she wants without naughty men to badly treat her.

It's not possible to see such people like that ! She was poor and desperate. Apparently, some people can't understand that… She thought France was a paradise contrary to her country of origin. What a nightmare ! This sort of unscrupulous men were looking for young women, and especially for immigrants. Why for them ? Because they are more vulnerable of course ! There are an easy target to control when they have an urgent need of being helped for their integration and to have a normal life… According to me, after what they have endured, they should deserve it.

This report show us that nowdays, that kind of story can still happen, eventhough we are a developped country. When we speak about it we have the idea of a savety country, not one in which you arrive and you have people pointing guns at you, to make you do what ever they want, is it ?
