WORLD WAR II IN GUADALCANAL

When Japanese people started the World War II in the Pacific, the white people of Solomon Islands were evacuated in Australia.
Japanese tried to unload by the North of Australia, but they didn't succeed in it and established their bases in the taller islands of Solomon Islands.
After, American decided to set in on Guadalcanal.
They managed to do it quickly but Japanese counter-attacked and blocked Americans during 6 months. There were a lot of terrestrial and naval battles. Many men died there during this war and now, the straits between Guadalcanal and Naggela Islands is called "Iron Bottom Sound".
After having conquered Guadalcanal, American neutralized and eventually left the others islands occupied by Japanese people, which managed to survive as the end of the war.
