HONIARA

Honiara is Solomon Islands'capital

In Honiara you can also visit the National museum where there are displays of dance and body ornamentation, weaponry traditional currencies and archeology.

You can go for a walk in the Botanical Gardens, too, where you can find local orchids and a selection of bush plants and trees, mostly typical of rainforests in the country.

The Honiara Central and Kumkum markets are the country's food markets where produces come from outlying villages.
There is in this place a very special atmosphere, and it is worth visiting for this atmosphere alone.
