     Europe and Africa are two very different continents. Overall, Europe is situated in the North hemisphere and is a rich continent whereas Africa is situated in the South hemisphere and is a poor continent. They have not the same culture. African countries are developing or are less developed on the contrary Europeans countries are developed. Africa is the contrary of Europe, you will see many differences about the population and the standard of living.

I-Economic

 

    The economy of Europeans countries is more developed than African countries 's economy. But nowadays it increases faster in Africa than in Europe; for example Cameroon's economy increases by 5 percentage points whereas France's economy increases by 1 percentage points a year.

    Generally, the government of European countries spend more money than in Africa : in Ivory-Coast it spends 2.4 billion of $therefore in the Netherlands it spends 134 milliards of $.
Commercial balance of African countries is nearly balanced however the European countries one are not balanced and each country has one different.
Out of 100 people there is a little bit more active people in Europe than in Africa. To give an example : in South Africa, out of 100 people 40 are active while in Ukraine 47.5 are active.

So some countries in Europe (the majority) are developed and some countries in Africa are in development.

II-Social and cultural

 

    Out of 100 people in France 99 are alphabets although in Ivory-Coast 50.9 are alphabets. Generally alphabetic rate is higher in Europe than in Africa. In fact the standard of living of Africans is lower than the Europeans one. An other example : out of 100 Cameron 48 live under the poverty line whereas 6.4 French live under it.
Furthermore internet users in Europe are more numerous than in Africa even if in Europe there are important differences. For example in the Netherlands out of 100 people 60 use internet but in Ukraine 1.66 use it.
    The social and cultural life in Europe is more developed than in Africa; Europeans use more high technology.

    So generally, Europeans countries and African countries are very different because of their different culture, tradition, religion, organisation of the government…

III-Geographic and climatic

 

    Africa has a territory much taller than Europe. The area of South Africa is 1 219 912 km2 whereas the area of France is 547 030 km2, it shows the different between the two continents.
    Europe is situated in the north hemisphere whereas Africa is in the south hemisphere. As a result, the African climate is very hotter and drier than the European one.
For example, temperatures in January in South Africa are in average of 26°c and in this period in Ukraine they are in average of -3°c.
An other example to illustrate, in South Africa in June, precipitations are in average of 8 mm, in France they are in the south in average of 56 mm.

    So we see that climate, area of this countries are very different, The climate is different because of the situation in the North or the South hemispheres, near or not near the equator.

IV-Politic and human rights

 

    Generally the last constitutions are older in Europe than in Africa. It can be explained by the decolonisation of African countries in the last century. It is interesting because African countries were European colonies.
    Furthermore African countries spend much money for the military budget while European countries have a little one : the military budget of Cameroon is higher by 72.1 billion of $ than France's one. In deed, African countries are often in war.
The universal suffrage is at 18 years for nearly all countries except the Cameroon.

    So we see that Europeans countries keep the attention of poor countries near them. For examples, a lot of Europeans of the east (Romanians) enter in France for a better life, it's the same for England with Turks. It will be a big problem when east countries will enter in May in the European Union.
    This two continents have not the same political system ; African countries spend more money for the army than European countries because this countries need a lot of protection against civil wars between different groups of religion.

 

V-Demographic

 

    The birth rate of Europeans countries is lower than the Africans one. Out of 1000 habitants of Ivory-Coast 40.01 are born in the year unlike in Ukraine where they are 9.89. It shows that the African population is very young and women are numerous.
    More over the fertility rate is lower too in Europe than in Africa because of women have their first child early : in Ivory-Coast each woman has 3.86 more children than in Ukraine.
The life expectancy in Europe is higher than in Africa because the standard of living is higher too in Europe. On a matter of fact sciences for example medical search are more developed in occidental countries than in Africa.
    Out of 1000 Cameron children 70.12 die before one year old whereas in France 4.37 children die before this age. As the life expectancy, it is a consequence of the medical search and the absence of money to progress.

 

 

    So we can see that African countries are not enough developed for the health of the population contrary to European countries. They have not enough money to treat illness so a lot of babies die before they are one, the life expectancy is short. The fertility rate is high because women don't use contraception means and the AIDS increases more and more. Many European countries want to help African countries because their problems are internationals.

 

    The introduction is illustrated by this work. To conclude, we can say that Europe is better for a living than Africa but Africa has as many opportunities as Europe, that makes them so attractive.
