The owner of Barilla is Guido Barilla, with Luca Barilla and Paolo Barilla, who belong to the family who created the firm.
Barilla is divided into two groups : Primo Pattio and Prodotti da Forno, and is divided into 14 society all around the world.

The History .
In 1877, Pietro Barilla Senior opens a bakery in Parmes, which sells pasta.
In 1910, the first factory is made, they are 80 employees.
In 1960, Barilla became a stock company, which has 1300 employees.
In 1970, Barilla became the biggest factory in the world: 1 250 000 m 2
In 1971, WR grace buys most of Barilla's family actions.
In 1979, Barilla buys the WR 6race s action of the Barilla firm.
In 1991, Misko, a Greek pastas' maker, is bought by Barilla.
In 1993, they are 3 new boss: Guido, Luca and Paolo, children of Pietro Barilla.
In 1994, Filiz, n°2 of the market of pasta in Turkey arrived in Barillas group.
In 2001, 300 000 tons of pastas are produced in the factory of Parma.

The sector:

The main activity of Barilla is to make semolina pasta, egg and filled pasta, pasta sauces. This is called the " Primo Pattio"
They also make pizzas, bread surrogates, short pastry and filled biscuits, snacks, cakes and crisp bread. This is called the "Prodotti da Forno".

Its production sites are in Europe, Asia and America and Australia.
